Review These Hard Rock and Heavy Metal Albums From The 70's And 80's

Do you wanna rock? Do you fondly remember some of the best hard rocking bands of the seventies and eighties. Are you listening to Nights With Alice Cooper on the radio? I love that show!

As the "I Wanna Rock" contributor it's part of my duties and privileges to create curation lists of albums that feature some of the best music of the genre, which in the case of this list is hard rock and heavy metal music. And so I picked out a list of my favorite bands and their songs, and hopefully some of yours.

If you have fond memories about rocking out at one of these bands' live concerts, or if certain songs make you relive a significant moment in your life, we'd love to hear about it.

If you own and love an album that's on this list, or one that shares some songs with one of the ones on this list, just review either the whole album, or a song or three on it that you're particularly fond of. As we mentioned, we'd also like you to share a story around that music, or what it meant to you, or what it reminds you of.

Wondering how it works? Here are some instructions on how to write a review. It's easy! After all, it's about YOU, what you think, and your experiences.

You can also check out some of my own reviews if you like. I have reviewed Black Sabbath's Paranoid, David Bowie's Ziggy Stardust, and Blondie's Parallel Lines.

Looking forward to reading your reviews. Just in case you wondered... yes, you can actually review more than one album. Just send the extras to Bonnie at the email given on the product review instructions page at the link above.

In addition,, please either post the URL for your review in the comment section below or send your reviews to me directly with the subject line "Hard Rock Review" so I can post them here...

Reviews:

1) The first review has arrived. Kimmilai has reviewed Def Leppard Rock Of Ages

2) The second review: Selfhelpguru (yours truly) has reviewed Steppenwolf - All Time Greatest Hits

3) I discovered the next set of reviews at the same time, so they tie for third place:

Free_Thinking has reviewed Led Zeppelin IV

Raveonstudio has reviewed Van Halen

Tonyleather has reviewed Meatloaf - Bat Out Of Hell

Snakesmum has reviewed Metallica - The Black Album

Terilass has reviewed AC/DC - Back In Black

Upon-Request has reviewed Bon Jovi - Slippery When Wet

my goodness these bring me back - loved the 70's especially for rock, so much fun 'back in the day' - heck it's still fun to listen to all these songs!

@Kim Milai: Wow, what a great review! Love your photo too! And the story about Rick Allen's arm and how he was able to continue playing. I'll post it on the site! And I'll also look into the proper sequence of how I'm supposed to find out about the reviews. For now, your way worked perfectly! :)

that steppenwolf one took me back to my associates years. we were introducing ourselves to the instructor and one of the students gave his name which caused the teacher to do a double take. apparently his name was reminiscent of the group steppenwolf; that sparked an incredible class discussion right there. thanks for the memory flash.
